A MAN has died after he was hit by a piece of machinery at a mining site in South Orange.
About 10pm (Sunday 6 September 2015), emergency services were called to a mining site on Cadia Road, South Orange, following reports that a man had suffered critical injuries.
Initial investigations suggest the 28-year-old man was working at the site when he was struck by a piece of machinery, and died at the scene.

A crime scene was established by officers from Canobolas Area Command.
Investigations into the incident are continuing, with officers being assisted by investigators from Mine Safety NSW.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
