Man dies after being run over by front end loader at NSW workplace

A man has died following a workplace accident in Narrabri yesterday.

About 11am, emergency services were called to a cotton storage facility, following reports a man had been injured by a front end loader.

Officers attached to Barwon Local Area Command arrived to find a 79-year-old man had been run over by the driver of the vehicle.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics, with the assistance of police performed CPR at the scene, but he could not be revived.

The 61-year-old driver was taken to Narrabri Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

At this stage, no charges are expected to be laid.

SafeWork NSW has been informed and are conducting inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the matter.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
