A New South Wales man has died after getting hit by a train in Sydney early this morning.
Emergency services rushed to Hurlstone Park Railway Station shortly before 1.30am, following reports a man had bit struck by a train.
Police say the 53-year-old had just stepped off the train and begun walking along the platform, but as the train began to move away from the station, it hit the man, causing him to fall onto the tracks.

Paramedics performed CPR on the man before he was rushed to the RPA Hospital in a critical condition.
He sadly died a short time later.
A crime scene was established, with train services delayed around an hour.
The train driver and train guard participated in mandatory testing.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
