A MAN who was gang bashed at a house party north of the Gold Coast over the weekend has died in hospital.
The 37-year-old man suffered serious head injuries after being brutally attacked, allegedly by five men in the front yard of the Aragon Street home at Beenleigh around 9.40pm on Saturday night.
Several other people who were partying at the address reportedly ran out of the house and attempted to assist the man at which point his attackers fled the scene.

Police said the injured man returned to his home after the assault but his condition deteriorated overnight and he was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition the following morning.
He spent four days in intensive care before sadly succumbing to his injuries and passing away on Wednesday.
A 17-year-old boy from Buccan and a 36-year-old Bahrs Scrub man have both been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm.
Police say these charges are likely to be upgraded following the victim’s death.
Investigations into Saturday night’s assault are continuing.
