Police release image of man following one-punch attack in Brisbane

UPDATE: Police have released an image of a man who may able to assist with their investigation into a one-punch attack on a street in South Brisbane on Saturday morning.

Initial investigations suggest around 10.15am a man had been walking along Melbourne Street when he crossed paths with another man who was jogging in the opposite direction.

After a short confrontation, the jogger allegedly punched the man in the head, causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.

The 48-year-old man was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition but died yesterday afternoon.

His alleged attacker remains on the run. He is described as around 170cm with short dark hair and was wearing black shorts with a red shirt tucked into them and white running shoes.
