Father dies after being stabbed in neck during fight

A MAN has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing a young father to death in Loganlea.

Emergency services were called to reports of an altercation between the two men on University Drive about 1.45am.

They arrived to find a 33-year-old Meadowbrook man with a life-threatening knife-wound to his neck.


The victim could not be saved and died at the scene, police said.

A 27-year-old Annerley man was arrested and has since been charged with one count of murder.

He has also been charged with two counts of serious assault police after allegedly spitting in the faces of two officers.

The accused is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow.
