A MAN has passed away in hospital, just four days after a serious crash claimed the life of a woman and left another man seriously injured.
The accident happened on Mullumbimby Road, about 2km north of Mullumbimby, about 11.45am on Sunday.
It’s understood a vehicle travelling west collided with a vehicle travelling east in the east-bound lanes.

Paramedics desperately tried to revive a 79-year-old woman from the east-bound travelling vehicle, however she died at the scene.
An 80-year-old man from the same vehicle was flown to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition, however sadly police confirmed that he died yesterday.
A 28-year-old man from the other car was also flown to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently being investigated by the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command.
