Man dies after being stabbed, dropped at Sydney hospital by taxi

A young man has died after being dropped at a hospital in Sydney with multiple stab wounds to his torso and and head.

A taxi brought the 22-year-old to Mt Druitt hospital just before 5.00pm on Wednesday.

Despite the desperate efforts of medical staff, the man died shortly after arrival.


A 56-year-old man was later arrested at a unit in Tregear, where officers also established a crime scene.

The man was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station before being transported to Nepean Hospital under police guard.

He has since been charged with murder and is due to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court today.

Police allege the men are known to each other.
