Man escapes power pole crash with only minor injuries

A man has escaped with only minor injuries after losing control of his car and crashing into a power pole in Sydney’s west overnight.

The crash happened at the intersection of Liverpool and Rundle roads in Green Valley at around 8.45pm.

Police say a Holden Senator travelling along Liverpool Road left the road and struck a tree.


The driver, a 32-year-old man, was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital with only minor injuries.

The man was also set to undergo mandatory drug and alcohol testing.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.
