Man escapes serious injury after flipping ute, Gold Coast

A man’s luckily escaped serious injury after his ute flipped at Hope Island last night.

It happened along Oxenford Southport Road and Santa Barbara Road just before 8.30 pm.

Paramedics rushed to the scene where they assessed a man in his 30s.


He’d luckily only suffered some neck pain, despite his ute being flipped upside down.

He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A photo posted to a local community page shows the ute upturned on the side of the road.

Paramedics were also called to an incident in Miami last night, where a bike and a car collided.

It happened along Christine Avenue and Lemana Lane around 6.00 pm.

A man was assessed briefly at the scene before being taken to Robina Hospital for further treatment.

He’d suffered leg and neck injuries but is understood to be in a stable condition.
