A man accused of abducting a 12-year-old Gold Coast student will be extradited to Queensland.
Zhen Jie Zhang faced an extradition hearing in New South Wales today and is expected to be charged with kidnapping for ransom.
His lawyer said the extradition was unopposed and through an interpreter, Mr Zhang told the said: “I had no intention of doing what I did”.

The 12-year-old boy was dragged into a car outside his Mudgeeraba home around 3.30pm on Friday, sparking an Amber Alert.
He was then driven interstate where he was found in the northern New South Wales town of Grafton shortly after midday on Saturday.
It’s understood a member of the public recognised the vehicle in the Amber Alert and phoned the police.
