Man falls in front of train, loses arm in Sydney

A man has lost his arm after he fell off a platform and landed in the path of a train in Sydney’s south west.

It took emergency crews more than an hour to separate the 41-year-old from the train at Warwick Farm station at 10.50pm on Tuesday.

A tourniquet was put on the man’s arm to stem the bleeding.  It is also believed that he was conscious during the entire effort to set him free.

It’s not known what caused the man to fall, but it is believed to be just a terrible accident.
