A MAN is in his 20s is fighting for his life in hospital after being run over by a car on the Gold Coast.
It happened on the corner of Bermuda Street and Santa Maria Court at Burleigh Waters about 8.30 on Friday night.
There are reports the 23-year-old man was trying to cross the street with another man when he was struck.

Critical care paramedics and the city’s High Acuity Response Unit were dispatched to the scene.
They arrived to find the young man suffering from life-threatening head injuries.
He was treated at the scene before being rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the Holden Caprice that hit the man stopped and rendered assistance until police arrived.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
It comes just eight days after a teenage boy was run over and critically injured in the same suburb.
The 16-year-old was attempting to cross Bermuda Street with mates when he was struck about 9pm last Thursday.
