A man’s critically ill after his car hit a tree in Merrimac.
It is believed he was travelling west on Gooding Drive when the accident happened on Friday night. Police were called at around 11:15pm.
The driver was the only person in the car and suffered life threating injuries. He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
