Man fighting for life after being hit by car in Sydney
An elderly man is fighting for life in a Sydney hospital after being hit by a car in Strathfield yesterday.
Just after 5.30pm, police were called to the intersection of Parramatta Road and Manson Road following reports of a crash.
On arrival, officers found an 85-year-old man, who had been struck by a car.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing. He continues to assist police with their inquiries.
