Man fighting to stay alive after Sydney crash

A MAN remains in hospital in a critical condition this morning following a nasty crash in Sydney last night.

Police said the man was riding a motorcycle which was struck by a car at the intersection of Harris and William Henry Streets in Ultimo just before 9.30pm.

The man sustained life-threatening injuries after he was thrown from his bike and onto the road.


He was stablised at the scene before being rushed to St Vincent Hospital where he remains today, fighting to stay alive.

The male driver of the vehicle was uninjured. He was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit will investigate all circumstances surrounding the crash.
