Man flown to hospital after being trampled by cow

A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with head, chest and leg injuries after being trampled by a cow in Queensland.

It happened on a property at Llanarth, south of Charters Towers, just before 6.30pm last night.

The man, aged in his 20s, sustained multiple fractures after being trampled in a cattle yard.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to hospital.

The RACQ Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to the scene to the airlift the man.

Queensland Ambulance said he was flown to Townsville Hospital, 300km away, in a stable condition.
