Man found dead at bottom of cliff in Sydney

POLICE are investigating the discovery of a man’s body, found at the bottom of a cliff at Avalon Beach, in Sydney’s north.

The man’s body was discovered by emergency services at Careel Headland Reserve shortly after 10 o’clock this morning.

Police said they had been called to the area after receiving a call from a member of the public who was concerned for the man’s welfare.

Upon arrival, emergency services located the man, believed to be aged in his 30’s, deceased. Police said it is believed the man may have fallen from a nearby cliff.

Officers from the Northern Beaches Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Investigators say it is too early to tell whether or not the man’s death is suspicious.
