Man found dead in car at 2500 strong party in NSW state forest

A man has been found dead inside a car at a ‘rave’ party in the Dalmorton State Forest near Grafton, in the NSW Clarence Valley.

Police said an estimated 2500 people were attending the “unauthorised” event which was being held on private property off Blacksmith Shop Road at Newton Boyd.

Despite officers requesting organisers shut down the event, it continues.

Just after 2pm on Sunday, police and paramedics were called to the property after a man in his 20s was found deceased in a vehicle.

Detectives have established a crime scene at the property which continues to be forensically examined.

Inquiries into the man’s death continue and police will monitor the party overnight.
