Man found with multiple gunshot wounds after shooting in NSW

A MAN is recovering in hospital with multiple gunshot wounds following a shooting in the NSW Hunter Valley overnight.

Police were called to reports of shots fired on Anzac Parade in Muswellbrook around 10.30pm.

When officers arrived, they found multiple bullet holes in a house and a car parked in the street.


The area was cordoned off and declared a crime scene which was examined by forensic officers.

Then, shortly before 4am, a 25-year-old man was found on Brook Street with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was treated by paramedics for injuries to his back and arm before being taken to John Hunter Hospital where he remains today in a stable condition.

Police say he is refusing to assist then with their investigation.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about either incident to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
