Man found unconscious, lying on Sydney road with severe head injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found lying unconscious on a road with severe head injuries in Sydney’s south-west last night.

Police and paramedic were called to the corner of Cabramatta Road and Grace Avenue in Cabramatta at around 10.45pm.

The man, believed to be aged in his 60s, was found unconscious, lying on the road with severe head injuries, police said.


He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

How the received his injuries remains unclear, although police said initial investigations suggested that he may have fallen after suffering a medical episode.

A crime scene was established and examined overnight.
