Man found with stab wound on northern Gold Coast street

A man has been rushed to hospital following an alleged stabbing on the Gold Coast in the early hours of this morning.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told myGC the victim, aged in his 30s, was confronted by three men outside a home on Coorong Street in Coomera around 1.00am.

An altercation broke out between the group, with one of the men allegedly stabbing the victim in the chest.

It’s understood the fight occurred following an earlier altercation at a house party on nearby Lovinia Way.

According to police, the victim’s friends are believed to have found the man injured on the street and called for help.

He was then treated at the scene by paramedics for a chest wound before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed he was transported in a serious but stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

Investigations are ongoing.
