Man freed from university air-conditioning duct after 6 hours

A man has been freed after becoming stuck in a university air-conditioning duct for more than six hours in NSW.

The 23-year-old had allegedly been out drinking at a Bathurst pub on Saturday night when he scaled the roof of the Charles Sturt University and entered the vent around 2.00am Sunday.

The man, who is not a student at the university, was heard screaming by a security guard who called emergency services.
