Man glassed after placing arm around woman in Sydney club

A man who placed his arm around a woman in a club in Sydney’s south west last night has ended up in hospital after having a glass smashed over his head.

Police are investigating the incident which allegedly took place inside a club on Fairview Road at Cabramatta around 10.20pm.

Investigators say an altercation ensued when the 38-year-old man approached two 29-year-old women and placed his hand around one of them.


During the altercation, police say one of the women smashed a glass on the man’s head.

Both the man and a 39-year-old woman standing nearby suffered lacerations to their heads.

They were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for further treatment.

Police obtained the details of those involved and are continuing to investigate the incident.

No charges have been laid.
