Man jumps into water to avoid police at Sydney music festival

A young man had too much fun at a Sydney music festival on Saturday, he was arrested after he allegedly jumped in the water twice in Sydney.

Police say they found MDMA on the man and charged him with  possess prohibited drug and escape police custody.

He wasn’t the only one busted with New South Wales police charging several people drug and violence related offences.

The Harbourlife Music Festival was held at Mrs Macquaries Chair on Saturday 21 November 2015 attracted more than 5000 people.

During the festival there was a strong police presence with officers and the Dog Unit in attendance.

The operation was targeting anti-social behaviour, alcohol-related crime and drugs.

 

Other results of the operation included:

– 72 possess prohibited drug

– Three cannabis cautions

– One fail to quit infringement notice

– 11 move-on notices

Despite the arrests, police were pleased with the overall behaviour of revellers.
