Man hit by car in alleged road rage hit-and-run on Gold Coast

Investigations are underway after a man was struck by a vehicle in an alleged road rage attack on the Gold Coast this morning.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Lakelands Road and Pine Ridge Road in Biggera Waters around 9.45am, following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, they found a man aged in his 30s suffering minor injuries after being hit by a white Hyundai Tucson that was allegedly driven towards him after he got out of his Holden Commodore.

“The man was pushed over his bonnet and sustained grazes to his hand and knees and a sore back,” a Queensland Police spokesperson told myGC.

He was treated by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The white Hyundai alleged to have been involved fled the scene, with police investigations continuing to track down the driver.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is being urged to come forward.
