Man hit by car, robbed at gunpoint in Sydney

A group of thugs are on the run after stalking a man through Sydney’s inner-west.

Police say a 27-year-old man was walking on Beauchamp Street in Marrickville around 1.20am on Saturday, when he noticed he was being followed by a black SUV.

As he went to cross the road north of the intersection with Ewart Street he was struck by the vehicle.

Several men then got out of the car, one possibly armed with a gun, and threatened the victim.

He handed over his wallet and phone, before the men got back in the vehicle and drove off.

The victim was treated at the scene by Paramedics for minor injuries.

The offenders have been described as Caucasia in appearance, about 20 years old, and wearing black hooded jumpers.
