Man hit with 34 charges following major crime spree across the Coast

A GROUP of men accused of heading a major crime spree across the Gold Coast have been arrested.

Detectives from the Gold Coast District Property Crime Unit made the arrests following the recent spike in property and break and enter offences across the southern suburbs and Coomera areas.

In total, four men have been hit with a lengthy list of charges – the most serious of offenders being an 18-year-old Tallebudgera man.

He’s been charged with a staggering 34 offences including car theft, burglary, stealing, receiving stolen property and drug offences.

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old Nerang man, a 31-year-old Sunshine Coast man and a 24-year-old New South Wales man have been charged with a further 10 property and drug offences following their arrest at a Southport tavern yesterday.

All four accused were expected to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court today.
