Man hit with baseball bat during violent road rage incident at Robina

POLICE are investigating after two men were taken to hospital with injuries after a violent road rage incident on the Gold Coast overnight.

Around 6.30pm Wednesday, two vehicles were driving south on Scottsdale Drive in Robina when one of the vehicles suddenly braked and pulled on the side of the road.

A male then reportedly got out of the vehicle holding a small bat and motioned for the other vehicle to pull over.


The other vehicle pulled over and another male, who was the driver, got out of the vehicle.

Both men then became involved in an altercation.

One man received an injury to his ribs after being struck by a baseball bat.

The second man received head injuries after being punched in the head and falling onto the roadway.

Paramedics attended and both men were transported to Robina Hospital for treatment.
