A 78-YEAR-OLD woman has had a knife held to her throat and her car stolen by an intruder who burst into her south-western Sydney home.
A 30-year-old man allegedly forced his way into the elderly woman’s Hill Road home in Lurnea just after 7pm on Monday 31 October.
Terrified, police said the woman tried to run out of the home but was stopped by the intruder who placed a knife to her throat and demanded the keys to her car.

The woman handed over her keys and the man fled a short time later in her Ford Festiva.
Following investigations, police arrested the 30-year-old man following a short foot chase on Liverpool Street in Cabramatta on Saturday.
The man was allegedly found in possession of a stash of cash and heroin.
He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter (commit serious indictable offence), robbery armed with offensive weapon, steal motor vehicle and drive motor vehicle while licence suspended.
The man was refused bail, to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
