A man has been taken to hospital after getting in to a fight with a group of young teenagers at a skate park in Nerang on Tuesday.
Police were called to the Pacific Motorway park at around 4.40pm.
It’s understood the man, 49, was armed with a knife and somehow got involved in an argument with the group.

When things turned physical, he apparently ditched the knife.
The man then tried to strike a 14-year-old boy, however the boy struck the man in the face which caused him to fall to the ground and hit his head.
The boy left the scene.
The man was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
Police are encouraging anyone who was in the vicinity of the park and who saw or heard anything suspicious to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
