Man in hospital with multiple stab wounds after being knifed on NSW street

A MAN is in hospital and another is in police custody following a stabbing in Sydney’s Inner West.

Police said a man was found with multiple stab wounds on Seaview Street at Ashfield around 4.20pm AEDT.

He’s been rushed to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. His age and condition were not immediately known.

Police from the Ashfield Local Area Command are investigating the attack and have established a crime scene.

In a statement, police confirmed a second man was arrested near where the injured man was found.

He has been taken into custody and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Investigations into the incident are continuing, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
