Man hospitalised after alleged stabbing in Gold Coast hinterland

A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed at a home in the Gold Coast hinterland.

Emergency crews were called to a property on Bandicoot Lane in Springbrook just after 11.00pm on Friday.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told myGC a fight is believed have broken out between some friends, resulting in one person being stabbed.

The 31-year-old was treated at the scene by critical care paramedics for a wound to his stomach.

He was then taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

No charges have been laid.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
