Man hospitalised after shark attack at Manly beach

A man has been rushed to hospital this morning, after what’s believed to be a shark attack.

The man – in his mid 50s – was swimming with friends at Shelley Beach when he claims he was bitten.

He was able to swim to rocks nearby and raise the alarm, calling paramedics to the scene just before 6.00am.


He was briefly treated at the scene with suspected shark bites to his stomach, back and leg, before he was rushed to hospital.

It’s understood he’s in a stable condition.

No other injuries were reported.

No sharks have been spotted in the area yet.
