Man hospitalised after suffering electric shock on Gold Coast

A man has been rushed to hospital after suffering an electric shock on the Northern Gold Coast.

It happened at a private addres in Ormeau just before 6.30pm last night.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC the man was digging into ground when he hit powerlines, sparking the electric shock.


The man, aged in his 30s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Robina Hospital in a stable condition.

Meantime, a motorist is in a serious condition following a nasty two-car crash in the hinterland.

Two cars collided along Glenmore Drive at Bonogin around 3.00pm on Wednesday.

Two others invovled in the crash were taken to hospital in stable conditions.
