Man hospitalised with neck wound, after Gold Coast stabbing attack

A man’s been hospitalised after a stabbing incident on the Gold Coast last night.

Emergency services were called to a private location in Southport around 7.30pm, following reports of a stabbing.

A man – believed to be in his 40s – was briefly treated at the scene for a neck wound before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, with critical care paramedics on board.


He’s luckily in a stable condition.

Meantime, police have confirmed they know who the man’s attacker is, though are yet to make any arrests.

It’s understood the two men are known to each other, and the attacker doesn’t pose a threat to the community.
