Man hospitalised with ‘puncture wound’ after dispute, Gold Coast

Police are investigating an alleged wounding incident on the Gold Coast last night.

Emergency services were called to the corner of Fourteenth Avenue and the Gold Coast Highway in Palm Beach around 1.00 am.

They found two men who are known to each other in a dispute.


Police report that a 45-year-old sustained a non-life-threatening puncture wound to his arm in the altercation.

He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment but is understood to be in a stable condition.

A 34-year-old man is assisting police with their enquiries, no charges have been laid just yet.
