Man impaled on spiked fence after falling from ladder
A MAN is lucky to be alive after falling from a ladder and landing on a spiked fence in Sydney.
Five ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene at Bellevue Hill just after 3pm on Thursday.
They arrived to find the 36-year-old hanging by his leg, which had became impaled on the fence.
Firefighters used a harness to support the man while he was being dislodged from the fence.
Paramedics administered pain relief to the man, who remain conscious and breathing throughout the ordeal.
He was treated by a specialist medical team at the scene before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.
