POLICE are hunting a group of thugs accused of gang bashing a 21-year-old man who has been left in an induced coma.
The horrific attack happened in a carpark outside an Aquatic Centre on Kingston Road in Kingston around 11.00pm last Friday.
Police say the 21-year-old man and his 25-year-old friend were approached by a group of approximately 7 or 8 men who were not known to them.

“One of the group-members hit the 21-year-old man over the back of the head with a glass bottle, causing him to fall to the ground where the group assaulted him,” Qld police said in a statement.
The 25-year-old then man tried to run, however was hit the back of the head, causing him to stumble into an oncoming vehicle.
It’s understood the group then assaulted the 25-year-old before he managed to run away.
“Members of the group then accessed the 25-year-old’s car and stole his iPhone 6S and the 21-year-old’s Samsung mobile phone before fleeing the scene” police said.
Witnesses called emergency services who rushed to the scene and found the 21-year-old Kingston man lying on the ground with a fractured skull.
He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition where he remains in an induced coma.
The 25-year-old Woodridge man was taken to Logan Hospital with a cut to his head.
Officers a now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything, or may have dashcam footage in the vicinity of Kingston Road around from 11.00pm to 12.00am on Friday October 18, to come forward.
The pair’s alleged attackers are described as being in their early twenties and having dark complexions.
