He then fell to the ground and hit his head, causing a significant head injury.

He remains in hospital in a serious condition in an induced coma.

Detective Acting Inspector Greg Aubort says it appears to be an unprovoked attack.

“As far as we know, and inquiries will continue, but as far as we’re aware they were unknown to each other prior to this,” Det Acting Insp Aubort said.

“There is no evidence of provocation, there’s no evidence of buying into this, there’s just evidence of reacting.”

Lefoe will remain behind bars until tomorrow when he’s expected to apply for bail.

Police insist Surfers Paradise remains a safe place despite the alleged incident.

“The reality is often with these offences it starts with the most innocuous event, whether it’s pinching a bit of food or a throwaway comment.

“I think that’s the message we want to get across as we approach the summer season, our entertainment precincts are safe night precincts, we invest a lot of time and resources into those areas.”

Is there laws is this Country?
Sorry, it doesn’t look like after seeing the footage!

Can you start punching someone in the street for fun and nothing is gonna happen??

What kind of laws punish severely speed infringements but, lets Walk away a coward person, a murdered, a person that is clearly dangerous to be free in society??

Is that not extremely shocking for you? Owww, I believe all the World is incredulous about it!

One more question what is gonna happen with the other coward guy who was wearing a cap and initialised the aggression?? I mean Rickey Lefoe’s girlfriend?

Rickey, and your girlfriend (guy wearing a cap) if by any chance you are reading this, I would like to tell you, that I don’t hate you! But I hate the attitude…. broo sincerely I desire for you to grown up, as a person and be able to live in society, practicing the love, respect and many others values that maybe you didn’t learn in your background education!

All my thoughts and wishes for the victim!
