Man in serious condition after getting stabbed multiple times in head, chest

Police are calling for public assistance to locate a man responsible for a stabbing attack in Kingscliff overnight, that left a man in a serious condition.

Emergency services were called to an address on Kingscliff Street around 10.40pm, following reports a man had been stabbed.

A 56-year-old man was found at the unit, with multiple stab wounds to his head, chest, and abdomen.


Police say the man was involved in an altercation with another man inside the apartment, involving a hunting knife, which was found at the scene.

Paramedics treated the victim briefly at the scene, before taking him to the Gold Coast University Hospital to undergo surgery.

He’s in a serious condition.

The knife will be examined, and no arrests have been made.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
