Man injured after car bursts into flames in GC unit complex carpark
A man has been taken to hospital with burns to his airways after a car burst into flames on the Gold Coast this morning.
Emergency services raced to Southport around 7.30am after receiving reports a car had caught fire in an underground carpark of a complex on Queen Street.
A man, aged in his late 20s, was treated at the scene for airway burns before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The unit block was evacuated as a result of the fire and emergency crews remain at the scene.
It is not yet known what caused the blaze.
