Man critically injured in Qld light plane crash

UPDATE @ 11.15am: A man has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after a light plane crash at Callandoon in Queensland this morning.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed the man, aged in his 40s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Goondiwindi Airport.

He has since been airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious facial and internal injuries.

The crash occurred just after 7.30am.

EARLIER @ 9.45am: A man has suffered multiple injuries in a light plane crash at Callandoon in Queensland this morning.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed the man, aged in his 40s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Goondiwindi Airport.

A rescue helicopter is expected to transport the man to hospital shortly.

He suffered facial and leg injuries and possible internal injuries, paramedics confirmed.
