Man injured in serious workplace accident on Gold Coast
A man has been rushed to hospital following a serious workplace accident on the Gold Coast this morning.
Just after 7.30am, emergency crews were called to a location on Mortensen Road at Nerang.
A worker, aged in his 50s, was stabalised and treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with a serious lower leg injury.
Critical Care Paramedic Gary Berkowitz said the man’s right leg was crushed by a 1 tonne concrete slab which fell on his right leg.
He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
