Man injured in suspected domestic violence disturbance on the Gold Coast

A man has been taken to hospital after reportedly being run over in a suspected domestic related disturbance on the Gold Coast.

Police were called to a block of units in Tarcoola Crescent on Chevron Islands at around 12.30pm.

They arrived to find an injured man and a woman, reportedly with less serious injuries.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed paramedics were called to the scene.

The injured man has been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

It’s understood he was deliberately struck by a car.

The extent of his injuries remain unclear.

Paramedics confirmed they assessed a second person at the scene, however they refused transport to hospital.

That second person is believed to be a woman who had reportedly sustained minor abrasions to her legs.

The incident is believed to be domestic related.

Who was driving the vehicle involved in the incident remains unclear.

According to Nine News, a third person, believed to be a man, has been taken into custody and is being questioned by police.
