A New Zealand man accused of murdering a father in a horrifying road rage incident has been granted bail.
Tamate Henry Heke became involved in a fight with 50-year-old Shane Merrigan, causing him to fall into the path of a garbage truck on the Gateway Motorway on December 1.
Heke reportedly told police that Mr Merrigan tailgated him on the Gateway Motorway, made rude gestures and pulled off the road ahead of him before the fight.

The 36-year-old was granted bail to live with his fiancé and three children in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Thursday.
