A MAN has died after being hit by a truck on the Far South Coast this morning.
About 6.40am (Friday 19 June 2015), emergency services were called to the Snowy Mountains Highway, Bemboka, following reports of a pedestrian being hit.
On arrival officers from Far South Coast Local Area Command found a 44-year-old Bemboka man had died.

Initial investigations suggest that the man was walking east along the highway and was hit by a truck travelling in the same direction.
The male truck driver was uninjured and taken to Bega Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for anyone that witnessed the collision or has information that may assist to contact Crime Stoppers.
The Snowy Mountain Highway is currently closed in both directions and diversions are in place.
