Man killed, another flown to hospital after horror crash in NSW

A man has been killed and another airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a horror single vehicle crash near Port Macquarie overnight.

Police said a Toyota Hilux ute slammed into a tree along Hacks Ferry Road at Telegraph Point around 9pm.

The male driver was seriously injured and airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for treatment.


One of two male passengers was fatally injured and died at the scene, while the second was transported to Port Macquarie Hospital by ambulance with only minor injuries.

As investigations into the cause of the crash continue, police are urging any witnesses to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
