A man has died and a newborn baby has been seriously injured in a nasty crash in the Bundaberg region overnight.
Police say the vehicle was travelling along the Isis Highway at Eureka around 5.15pm on Friday, when it lost control and ploughed into a tree.
Despite desperate attempts by paramedics, the 28-year-old male passenger could not be saved and died at the scene.

A three-and-a-half-month old baby also suffered a serious head injury in the crash and was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The driver of the car, a 25-year-old woman, was taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
