Man killed after car hits pole, strikes tree in South Australia crash

A man has died following a single vehicle crash in South Australia.

The accident happened at Glandore just before 1pm on Wednesday.

Police say a car collided with a pole and a tree at the corner of South Road and Glengyle Terrace.


The driver of the car, a 67-year-old man from the State’s mid-north was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious condition.

Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries and died overnight.

South Road was restricted to one lane for northbound traffic for several hours.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.

The man’s death brings the State’s road toll to 48 compared with 49 at the same time last year.
